This bustling hub is tremendously popular with artists, families, foodies, boutique shoppers, and young folks. From vegan cafés to artisanal coffee shops, there's plenty of hotspots in the neighborhood.

Over the years, Silver Lake has developed into an upscale, sophisticated place to live for celebrities and professionals thanks to its proximity to Downtown Los Angeles and Hollywood. Things to Do

The Silver Lake Reservoir is a staple in the neighborhood. The central complex comprises two concrete-lined basins—Silver Lake and the Ivanhoe Reservoir—that are divided by a spillway. Surrounding the Silver Lake Reservoir is a heavily-trafficked, 2.2-mile walking trail that makes for a great jogging path. Dogs are allowed on the trail—so long as they remain on a leash—and it is accessible year-round.

Sunset Junction is the name given to the intersection of Santa Monica and Sunset Boulevard, two of Los Angeles’s most famous streets. It is now one of the busiest areas in the entire community and a popular tourist destination. Some of the best retail stores around can be found along Sunset Boulevard.
